Visitors can reach the upper section by a cable car from the road-accessible point or choose the traditional walking route.
At the foot of the hill lies Champaner, part of the UNESCO-listed Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. The archaeological landscape contains fortifications, palaces, religious buildings, water structures and remarkable mosques reflecting the region’s Hindu and Islamic architectural traditions. UNESCO describes the site as an exceptional concentration of archaeological, historic and living cultural heritage.

Begin your journey towards Pavagadh Hill, enjoying views of the surrounding landscape as you approach the hill.

Proceed towards the Machi area, the last point accessible by road before continuing towards the upper temple area.

Visit the revered Kalika Mata Temple, located at the summit of Pavagadh Hill. The temple is one of the area’s most important living religious sites.

Guests can choose to use the ropeway/cable car or undertake the traditional walking route to reach the temple, subject to operating conditions. Ropeway tickets are payable directly by guests.
