About the Sightseeing Tour :
- Get picked up from your hotel/resort in Lonavala or Khandala in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and begin your adventure.
- Start with Karla Caves, one of the region’s important ancient Buddhist rock-cut cave complexes. Explore the historic cave architecture and impressive Chaitya Hall.
- Visit the revered Ekvira Aai Temple, located within the Karla Caves complex. Guests can spend some time for darshan and enjoy the surrounding hill views.
- Continue towards Bhaja Caves, an ancient group of Buddhist rock-cut caves dating back to the early centuries BCE and known for their historic architecture and scenic hill setting.
- Proceed towards Lohagad Fort, one of the most popular trekking destinations around Lonavala. The fort stands at approximately 1,033 metres and is known for its historic gateways, fortifications and the famous Vinchukada (Scorpion’s Tail).
- Enjoy the Lohagad Fort trek and sightseeing. The amount of time spent trekking and exploring the fort will depend on the group’s pace and weather conditions.
- After descending from Lohagad, enjoy lunch or refreshments at a local restaurant at your own expense.
- Continue towards Pawna Lake and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, mountain views and photography opportunities. Pawna is known for its scenic reservoir, surrounding hills and camping experiences.
- Visit Rajmachi Point for panoramic views of the surrounding Sahyadri landscape and a relaxing photography stop.
- After completing the sightseeing, begin your return journey towards Lonavala/Khandala.
- Drop-off at your hotel/resort by approximately 06:00 PM, depending on traffic, trekking pace, weather and sightseeing duration.
